I dream of green eyes and the silent fall of petals on my hair; the sound of someone breathing softly in my ear.
I dream of a hand gently stroking my cheek,
waking me with the words “Come – come with me”,
and I follow.
Into the green. Into the beyond and the forever.
And in my dreaming, in my waking, I am more than myself, more than my human self.
I am leaf and flower.
I am the fox and the grass snake and the owl.
I am the white deer.
I am moonlight and starlight.
I am the silver path that runs beside the forest’s edge.
In the in-between, neither sleeping nor awake,
I am Faerie.
